A beautiful pair of large antique Staffordshire dogs in the form of seated hearth spaniels. They have blue eyes which is more rare, most of these dogs have yellow eyes. Hand painted details with a copper lustre effect. c.1840-1860
Condition: one of them have crazing all over and some staining. The other one has chipped paint in the face area and a hairline crack at the back of the neck. They both have wear to the copper paint and small manufacturing imperfections. Please see pictures.
Approx measurements: 32 cm (12 1/2”) tall
The items may be packaged with repurposed materials, but they will be wrapped well for a safe journey.
