Carved Soapstone Egyptian Ibis Bird

A beautiful ibis bird figurine made of soapstone and with bronze head and legs. It has beautiful hand carved details.

The ibis bird (wading bird) was sacred to the ancient Egyptians and associated with the god of wisdom and writing, Thoth.

Condition: it has some wear and scratches in certain places. There is also a chip at the tail. Please see photos.

Approx measurements:
16 cm (6 1/4”) long
6.5 cm (2 1/2”) tall

The item may be packaged with repurposed materials, but it will be wrapped well for a safe journey.
