A very old picture after “The Broken Pitcher” by Jean-Baptiste Greuze. Beautiful frame with lovely bows in all four corners.
It looks like an oleograph (print on canvas that imitates an oil painting). Likely made in France.
Approx measurements: Height: 43 cm (17”) Width: 37 cm (14 1/2”)
Condition: There is a lot of age related wear. One of the bows on the frame is missing one end, and another bow is loose and missing a bit of its end too.
A very beautiful piece!
The item may be packaged with repurposed materials, but it will be wrapped very well for a safe journey.
